Domestic Violence/Dependent Abuse Mandatory reporter training requirements every five (5) years. The course(s) must be approved by the Iowa Department of Public Health. IAC 645-351.9(4)(a)(b)(c). Effective 7/1/2019, the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS) will take over responsibilities for mandatory reporting training. Only courses provided by the Iowa Department of Human Services will be accepted to meet this requirement.
Two (2)-hour course in child abuse identification and reporting if the licensee’s scope of practice includes children OR
Two (2)-hour course in dependent adult abuse identification and reporting if the licensee’s scope of practice includes adults OR
Two (2)-hour course in identifying and reporting both child abuse and dependent adult abuse if the licensee’s scope of practice includes both children and adults.
This requirement may also be satisfied by taking both two-hour courses listed above. | 2 | 2 years |
