This course is for advanced practitioners who want to learn more about the different presentations of Parkinson’s disease (PD) and the impact on treatment and progression. Learners will review the different phenotypes of PD and the evidence behind appropriate progressions. The speech-language pathologist’s role in the evaluation, treatment, and management of a patient’s progression is discussed using case studies to model best practices in interventions, team collaboration, documentation, and patient management.

The goal of this course is to teach speech-language pathologists how the phenotypes of Parkinson’s disease impact clinical presentation and treatment.
