The continuing education compliance period shall extend for a two-year period that begins on the 16th day of the licensee's birth month and ends two years later on the 15th day of the licensee's birth month.

| Child Abuse and Maltreatment Within six (6) months of employment or prior to the expiration of a current certification, an initial two (2) hour course in child abuse training for mandatory reporters offered by the department of human services. Thereafter, all mandatory reporters must take a one-hour recertification training every three years, prior to the expiration of a current certification.
