Nicole Fogarty holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Northeastern University. She has experience treating patients with cardiopulmonary, orthopedic, and neurological impairments in the inpatient setting. She also has experience in outpatient orthopedics. She has additional training in medical screening, lumbopelvic examination and treatment, and treatment of patients with cardiopulmonary diseases. Subject Matter Expert: Sara Dydyn OTR/L, ATP
Sara considers themself a lifelong learner and holds degrees from Sacred Heart University (MSOT) and Wagner College (BS Psychology) and is a nationally board-certified OT. Graduating in 2018, Sara began their journey as an outpatient occupational therapist focusing on adult neurological and orthopedic conditions and durable medical equipment (DME). Sara’s passion for assistive technologies, specifically wheelchairs, led them to achieve their Assistive Technology Professional specialty certification in 2021. They also went on to become certified in CBIT, a specialty modality for individuals with Tourette’s Syndrome. In addition to DME and Tourette’s Syndrome, Sara is most passionate about their work with individuals experiencing Long COVID, and adolescents and adults with hypermobile spectrum disorder/Ehlers Danlos and dysautonomia.
Subject Matter Expert: Melissa Chung, PT, DPT, NCS
Melissa Chung, DPT, NCS, CBIS, is a physical therapist and a board-certified clinical specialist in neurological physical therapy. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from New York University in 2005 and has worked in adult neurological rehabilitation specializing in stroke and brain injury. She is currently a physical therapy supervisor at NYU Langone Health Rusk Rehabilitation in adult inpatient rehabilitation. She is a faculty mentor in the NYU Langone Health Rusk Rehabilitation neurological physical therapy residency and is also an adjunct faculty member in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at New York University Steinhardt School of Education.
