Katy Kunst received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her Master of Business Administration from Elon University. She has 15 years of experience serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their supporters, including roles as direct support professional, program director, and training facilitator. She has created and facilitated training on topics including non-violent crisis interventions, person-centered planning, cultural competence, quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, and a variety of topics related to IDD services.

Mandy has over 22 years of experience at a local agency the provides support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  She began working at the organization as a Direct Support Professional while at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  After completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Mandy expanded her experience in various roles at the company, including shift leader, supervisor, recruiting coordinator, and now director of HR.  Mandy’s experience in the IDD field includes 17 years within human resources- recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, training and retaining the best possible talent to work with 120 individuals with IDD in group home and day program settings.
