Subject Matter Expert: Danit Macklin, PT, DPT, ITPT
Dr. Danit Macklin has specialized in concussion and vestibular rehabilitation obtaining certificates from the APTA for both pediatric and adult vestibular rehabilitation and certification as an Impact Trained Physical Therapist. Dr. Macklin has served as faculty for the annual APTA Pediatric Vestibular Competency Conference. Dr. Macklin works at Hackensack University Medical Center as well as in her own private practice, Balance & Concussion Therapy Center. She serves on the BIANJ Concussion Committee and worked with Assemblywoman Valerie Huttle in 2015 to establish New Jersey’s Annual Concussion Awareness Day. Dr. Macklin is the founder and chair of the New Jersey APTA Vestibular Special Interest Group which is the first local chapter to have a vestibular group in the country.

Wendy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University in Biology, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Florida A&M University. She has more than 25 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in multiple care settings, including acute care, inpatient rehab, independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and outpatient orthopedics. Wendy has a strong manual therapy background and has completed additional training in McConnell taping, geriatric care, McKenzie MDT, Maitland Mobilizations for the joints and spine. She is most passionate about using her manual skills to improve mobility and reduce pain in individuals of all ages.
