Subject Matter Expert: Yvonne Monti, OTD, OTR/L
Yvonne holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Keuka College, N.Y. and a Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from Chatham University, PA. She has 23 years of clinical experience in the rehabilitation setting. Yvonne has extensive experience treating individuals who have neurological problems such spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and brain injuries. Working with patients post-concussion sparked her interest in sleep disorders after she heard complaints about both inadequate sleep and cognitive problems. She subsequently made the decision to complete her doctoral capstone research on occupation-based sleep therapies for this demographic. Yvonne has spoken on this subject at the national conference of the American Occupational Therapy Association and internationally for the Canadian Occupational Therapy Association. Currently, Yvonne is an Associate Professor at Utica University in New York. She is passionate about educating both students and clinicians, and her goal is to have occupational therapy recognized as an authority in treatment for insomnia.

Wendy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University in Biology, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Florida A&M University. She has more than 25 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in multiple care settings, including acute care, inpatient rehab, independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and outpatient orthopedics. Wendy has a strong manual therapy background and has completed additional training in McConnell taping, geriatric care, McKenzie MDT, Maitland Mobilizations for the joints and spine. She is most passionate about using her manual skills to improve mobility and reduce pain in individuals of all ages.
