Military Service Members and PTSD

A significant percentage of veterans who fought in Vietnam, the Gulf War, Iraq, and Afghanistan will experience PTSD sometime in their lives. Nonbehavioral health practitioners must identify the symptoms and sequelae of PTSD, screening tools, and suggestions for referral for mental health evaluation and intervention.

This course provides the healthcare team with an overview of posttraumatic stress disorder among veterans, including risk factors, screening, and management of this condition.
