Improving Patient and Caregiver Engagement in Neurorehab

Practice, practice, practice. High repetitions are necessary for recovery in neurorehabilitation, and what patients do outside of their therapy sessions is critical. In this course, rehabilitation therapists in post-acute care settings will learn how to maximize patient and caregiver engagement to support and reinforce their therapy interventions. The concepts of health literacy, individualized training, and patient engagement to achieve the optimal dose of therapy are discussed. This course teaches rehabilitation professionals how to increase patient and caregiver engagement to improve neurorehabilitation outcomes.
