Define the concepts of cultural awareness, sensitivity, diversity, awareness, and intersectionality.
Explain how barriers can create additional vulnerabilities for individuals from diverse backgrounds when they are seeking services.
Demonstrate how to apply principles of respect and empathy when providing services to people from a wide variety of backgrounds and circumstances.

The target audience for this course is: Service Coordination Personnel; in the following settings: Behavioral Health: Community Services, Intellectual Developmental Disabiilties: Home and Community-Based Services.
