Subject Matter Expert: Jeanette C. Reynolds, MLS-AMT, M-ASCP (cm)
Mrs. Reynolds earned her Master of Science in Biology from the University of Saint Joseph in 2009. She is certified in Emerging Diseases and is a certified instructor at Southwestern Community College, an Infection Preventionist at Haywood Regional Medical Center, and an online instructor for the MLS program at Lexington Medical Center, where she has taught Mycology and Parasitology since 2019. She writes as a clinical lab sciences and microbiology subject matter expert and reviews courses for Relias and has been involved in several projects for them. She has a passion for education and excellence in clinical lab science, and she designs curriculum and writes courses for the Biology and Health Sciences programs at SCC, where she currently teaches any of the following courses: Principles of Biology, General Biology 1 and 2, Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology 1 and 2, and Laboratory Procedures.
Subject Matter Expert: Meredith Moyers MS, RD, LDN
Meredith earned a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from The University of Akron and a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from Eastern Michigan University. After completing her internship with The Detroit Medical Center, she began working in various academic medical centers in Ohio and North Carolina. She completed a Certificate of Training in Weight Management and Advanced Training in Metabolic Adaptations. She also holds the Google Project Management Professional Certification. During her tenure working in direct patient care, she was a certified specialist in oncology nutrition and founded an oncology teaching garden at the SECU Family House for patients and their families undergoing cancer treatment. Meredith has experience in providing nutrition therapy in both acute and ambulatory settings in areas of oncology, cardio-thoracic transplant, renal, and general medicine.
