Subject Matter Expert: Derek Weigand, DMD
Dr. Derek Weigand is a general dentist licensed in 35 states, with over a decade of clinical experience. He owns and operates Peace Garden Dental, a thriving private practice in Fargo, North Dakota. Dr. Weigand earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona, in 2013. Passionate about expanding access to care and improving oral health outcomes on a broader scale, he is currently completing a Dental Public Health residency at A.T. Still University’s Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (MOSDOH) and pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) through A.T. Still University’s College of Graduate Health Studies. His work bridges clinical practice and public health, with a strong focus on community-based care and teledentistry innovation.
