Learning Objectives:
Recognize the mechanisms of hormonal alterations.
Select the pathophysiology and clinical manifestations of posterior pituitary diseases, including the syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SIADH) and diabetes insipidus.
Compare the clinical manifestations of hypopituitarism and hyperpituitarism.

Contrast the pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, and management of selected causes of hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism.
Identify the most important clinical features of thyroid carcinoma.
