Domestic Violence/Dependent Abuse Public Act No. 22-58 requires that a mandatory reporter complete training on detecting potential elder abuse. The mandatory educational training program developed by the Department, or an alternate program approved by the Department, must be completed no later than ninety days after becoming a mandatory reporter. Licensed counselors who work as domestic violence counselors or sexual assault counselors are considered mandatory reporters.
