CEU requirement will increase to 18 hours minimum annually. A maximum of 9 hours of approved online continuing education may be credited towards the total 18 hours. Prior to July 2015 renewal, CEU requirement was 15 hours w/ no limit to online courses. Effective immediately, LABENFA will allow licensees to complete all eighteen (18) hours of continuing education online in satisfaction of his or her requirements for the 2021 license renewal, pursuant to Governor Jon Bel Edward’s declaration of a public health emergency in Louisiana related to COVID-19, specifically including his March 11, 2020 (Proclamation Number 25 JBE 2020) and March 13, 2020 (Proclamation Number 27 JBE 2020) proclamations, and the nationwide effort to reduce the spread and the wide-reaching effects of this pandemic.
